Read-a-thon wrap up post.

1. Which hour was most daunting for you?
At 1:30 I basically stopped reading, so I was sent to bed. It was a good idea.

2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
I found that ” diary of a would be princess” was very interesting and kept my attention well.

3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
Make sure everyone has a good supply of gummy worms before starting.:P

I definitely will be in the next read-a-thon. And I will be a reader.

These are some more things I did.

• I stayed up for 19 hours straight.
• I read 1364 pages.
• I made 5 blog posts.
• I had one drink of pop.
• I ate about 20 gummy things and one chocolate.
• Out of the VERY large stack of books I had picked out, I didn’t read11.5 books.
• I stayed up till 1:30 and woke back up at 8:00 and finished the read-a-thon.
• I ate three full meals.

I know these things are slightly pointless but they are just reminders. ( and so I can look back next year and say, “HAH, Last year I only read 12 books and this year I read 17.”)

Ok…… Enough of my insanity.(Thank you Snazel, For giving it to me:P)

So at one i kinda fell asleep. Then I was going to set my alarm to go off at 5 but it died. So I woke up at 8 instead. I will continue reading even thiugh this is kind of disappointing.

hi!
judging by the title you may realize that it is hour 11/12.
I have read 9 books.4 books of the bible, 2 books were read to me, 2 books were from the series” a series of unfortunate events” and dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones. Dogs body was kind of strange but i liked it. It was about a sphere named sirus that was banished to earth in the body of a dog.( hence the title.)  any ways he was adopted by a young girl who is being treated very unfairly.he soon finds out that he is being chased by  his enemies who are trying to kill him so he can’t get back to his own planet. It ends up with a strange ending that is not expected.
any who I must get back to reading , so toodles

Hey!
It is hour nine (obvs) and I am still awake. Yay!
I have been challenged by my grandmother to read four books of the bible so I have read; Ruth, Jonah,Phalipieans and Coliasians.( sorry for the terrible spelling)
I also have read, dogs body and the reptile room.
My sister read, click clack moo, cows that type, out load and I listened along. She also read , is your mama a lama, and I listened along for that as well.
I am currently on the wide window, which is in the same series as the reptile room.
Any who, that is what I have read and what I am reading.

So all you readerly people of my blog. I am honoured that you are hear. Even though I do not have much to say , I will say that my sister and I are almost all ready for the read-a-thon. I have a few book picked out including a few of the books out of the series” a series of unfortunate events”, Holes, a place to hide, and i am trying to get into the nearby library but i don’t drive into gander very often.If you would like more information on the raising money thing and the charity my sister and i are raising it for please check out my sisters blog. 24 hour dewey read a thon

So i am going to do a 24 hour read-a-thon with my sister an try to raise money for charity.As you might have noticed it is 24 hours long. That is a whole day. Which means….I will be staying up all night so I can read. Awesome! So if you could tell me some good books that are worth reading over twenty four hours, that would be good. Oh , and please don’t recommend any really hard books or i will bite your head off.

My creative writing group stories.

So, hello world. Yesterday I went to the writing group and we wrote two stories each. One story was a pass around story where on person starts the story and they have one minute to write as much as possible. Then they pass it to the person next to them. So it ends up going through everyones hands, which makes it …. interesting. The other story was a version of cinderella in a different perspective then cinderella. So they are going to be displayed here in all their glory. And insanity.

This is the pass around story.

John was never supposed to be in the boat anyways, he was a postman!In fact he wasn’t even supposed to be postman as he had always had the ambition to be a sculptor! But his dad wanted him to be a postman, and the particular day they argued it out, he had laryngitis. It’s hard to argue your case convincingly when you can’t talk, John found. So here he was a frustrated sculptor in a boat delivering the post. John was bobbing along slowly, when he spotted something in the water. John was not very experience when it came to rowing, but he tried his best to advance toward the thing. It appeared to be rather large though he could not tell exactly because he could only see the top of it. It was brown and spiky.He touched the mass. ” How strange.” He said to himself.”What could it be?” While he was wondering over the possibilities he noticed something else. There seemed to be a strange looking piece of paper stuck to it. He plucked it off the spiky object and began to read.” Dear lucky reader.”It said.”I am king Humphrey the two hundred and thirty thousandth. You have just found my treasure.Since you have found it , you can keep it. Sincerely King Humphrey the two hundred and thirty thousandth.” So John opened the treasure by flipping the mass over and got rich.

And here is my cinderella story
My name is Shoe,and guess what. I am a shoe. I have been through many hardships and much pain. It is almost to hard for me to go on. I once belonged to Cinderella. Now Queen Cinderella. I appeared out of thin air one day. I don’t know how and I don’t know why. All I know is that i was on the feet on a beautiful young girl. An old lady dressed in strange clothes singing strange songs was floating in the air in front of Cinderella. It kind of goes into a blur for a while here, but i do remember the girl climbing into a carriage that smelled strangely of pumpkins. We were just riding along for a while and she was singing a song to the horses. I don’t really know why,but she was. After this we climbed out of the carriage and entered this big ballroom. She started swirling and swirling for hours. I got very dizzy and Cinderella was all sweaty and all the sweat was falling on me. I think i passed out during all the spinning. And then it all just stopped. Even though I couldn’t see much because my vision was so blurred, but I do remember running. Cinderella is a VERY heavy runner. But then I felt all light. Her foot must have come out of me of something ,because I was just left there. And I could watch her leave. Then i was picked up and looked at by a very handsome man wearing lots of fancy clothes. After a few days of the prince staring at me and tapping his chin, he must have gotten an idea. He called all his people together and said that they were going to go out into the streets and try me on every girl in the kingdom. It was a pretty good idea but I didn’t like the idea of me being put on EVERYONE. I mean, some girls have big feet.

So that is as far as I got on the Cinderella but I will try to continue it before next tuesday.
